About Us

We are very process oriented. We hope every production opens more doors, and at the same time, over the many years in music, we’ve seen again and again that making a record does not ever have to be the end of a song’s journey. You are totally allowed to release multiple versions of a single song and connect with people multiple ways as time progresses. We love to see the ways music can change as life does. Here are a few examples of our work.

Services we provide

Recording

The amount of time it takes each artist to record varies, but as a general guideline, we encourage people to budget at least $300 block out a day to get 6hours of recording in per song. This can involve tracking and compositing multiple lead vocal takes, background vocal harmonies, and any primary accompanimental instruments the artist plays if applicable.

Producing

LMR Records has access to a number of session musicians and multi-instrumentalists who can help fill out the sound of your song. As a producer, I can help decide on a plan, budget, and contact musicians as needed. While the rate can vary based on the number of musicians needed, $300-600 is a good starting budget that gives you some leeway to work with me as a multi-instrumentalist and producer depending on if other freelancers are needed.

Mixing

There are a number of reputable mixers in Cincinnati or remotely including Chad Wahlbrink, Charlie Hines, Justin Newton, and others. Or if you prefer to continue to work with me at this point in the process, I charge $300 for vocal editing, mixing and basic mastering of an average produced song.

Distribution

Since I run a label-adjacent service to support indie musicians, I’m happy to point you in the right directions for digital distribution and equip you with some basic release best practices even if you are not officially signed with LMR records.
